MASTERHIC which is VINAY METAL’s own designation for HIC-resistant steel is supplied according to ASTM /ASME A / SA 516 Grade 60, 65 & 70. Manufactured with desulphurization, dephosphorization, lade refining, and vacuum degassing, the material is an ultra-clean and homogenous steel that is particularly suited for pressure equipment in sour gas applications.

Tempering Notch toughness can be improved by quenched cooling from hot rolling or normalizing by the supplier. If such a faster cooling rate is agreed upon between the purchaser and supplier then the steel is also to be tempered at 1200 F.

Applications Used for weld fabrication of pressure vessels that require improved notch toughness for lower than ambient temperature service.


Process of Manufacturing Hot-Rolled (HR) Testing-
The test requirements or needs can be easily fulfilled through a test like chemical composition analysis, material grain size determination, line discontinuities, freedom from defects, tolerance and dimensions, bend test, tensile test, Charpy impact test, and ultrasonic test. Some other test includes the Destructive test or nondestructive test, Mechanical test, tensile test, hardness test, micro & macro test, positive material test, intergranular corrosion test, flattening test, and flaring test.
